PURPOSE:To accomplish a positive brazing result, by employing a brazing method wherein a slit is defined through a casing and then a partition board is brazed in a protruding position, in brazing the partition board of heat exchanger with the casing. CONSTITUTION:While a slit 15 is defined through the casing 6 of heat exchanger body 1 and a cut-raised fragment 16 which forms the slit 15 is bent inwardly at right angle, a partition board 10 has its height determined such that its top end may extend slightly beyond the casing 6 when the board 10 is inserted through the slit 15 to abut with a tube plate 3 at its lower end. The partition board 10 is in abutted contact with the cut-raised fragment 16. The partition board 10 is thus extended beyond the slit 15 during its heat inside a furnace, and therefore the partition board 10 can be adequately heated up, whereby allowing for the flow of sufficient quantity of brazing materials over the surfaces of tube plate 3 and casing 6 into a contact area between the partition board 10 and the casing 6. |
