PURPOSE:To automate an operation for exchanging an electric wire by providing freely attachable and detachable straightening and feed rolls and a freely movable guide nozzle for the electric wire and providing specific double rows of guide pipe devices and a clamp. CONSTITUTION:A guide device 15 which is freely changeably movable to the right and left in a way as to intersect orthogonally a base 16 provided with double rows of guide pipes 17 and sandwiching rolls 18 with a feed route for an electric wire and to align the pipes 17 to said route is provided on the upstream of said route. A clamp 20 which opens or closes an L-shaped gripping pawl pair 21 to the right and left is provided. The operation of the device is automated by computer control. When the device stops in the stage of exchanging the electric wire, straightening and feed roll pairs 8, 11 open and space to the right and left and a guide nozzle 12 approaches to a guide nozzle 13. An electric wire W1 under work is pulled toward the pipe 17b but the front end is grasped and stopped by the roll 18b, then the base 16 moves horizontally thus disposing the pipe 17a and the roll 18a to the feed route for the electric wire. An electric wire W2 inserted preliminarily thereto is grasped by the clamp 20 before the roll 18a and is advanced, by which the wire W2 is inserted into the nozzle 12 or 13 and is released. The clamp 20 and the nozzle 12 are reset and the roll pair 8 is closed. |
