<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the aerating power required for the biological treatment by allowing the foam on which microbes are deposite to stay in an aerobic biological reaction stage to remove biologically the components to be removed, and then allowing the foam to flow out of said reaction stage. CONSTITUTION:The night soil 1 is allowed to flow into a foaming stage 2 without adding diluent water, aerated with air 2' in the coexistence of activated sludge, and foamed violently. The foam 3, with activated sludge and the liquid (night soil) to be treated deposited on the circumference of the interface of the foam, is formed. The foam 3 is introduced into an aerobic biological reaction stage 4, and allowed to stay therein or a specified time. The continuation of the aeration in the aerobic biological reaction stage 4 is not required, whereas a forcible aeration is carried out in the existing process. Accordingly, the aerating power can be dispensed with. The effluent foam 5 is sprinkled as liquid fertilizer, or separated into activated sludge 7 and biological treating water 8 in a solid-liquid separation stage 6.</p> |
