摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain black and color toner compsns. having excellent dispersibility of pigments and to enable excellent quality of color prints by selecting the aggregating temp. for aggregation/fusion of a latex and a coloring agent, especially, of pigment particles in the presence of specified metallic ions or metallic complex so as to control the final toner particle size, toner shape and surface characteristics. SOLUTION: This method includes a process of flocculating a coloring agent dispersed liquid containing a latex emulsion and additives if necessary with a metallic complex or metal ions to produce aggregates, a process of fusing or melting the aggregates, and preferably a process of separating, washing and drying a toner. The size of the aggregates depends on the temp. for aggregation. The final toner size is about 2 to 10μm in the volume average diameter. The shape of the toner produced depends on the temp. and time of fusing or melting of the aggregate components. The flocculating process is carried out at about 45 to 55 deg.C, and the fusing or melting and mixing process is carried out at about 85 to 95 deg.C.</p>
