PURPOSE:To keep a cut flower, etc. in the color and form of living plant, by applying a plant-preservation liquid containing water, adhesive, coagulant and colorant to the cut flower, cut grass, cut tree, etc., and drying the liquid. CONSTITUTION:The color and form of a cut plant is maintained to the living state by coating the cut plant with a plant-preservation liquid containing water, an adhesive (e.g. a mixture of 1pt. of a vinyl acetate emulsion adhesive with 2pts. of a vinyl acetate adhesive), a coagulant (e.g. calcium sulfate, glucono-delta- lactone, etc.), a colorant, and other additives. The colorant is e.g. water-based paint or water-soluble dye, etc., and the plant can be colored to the color of the living state or to different color (e.g. gold color, silver color, etc.) by selecting the colorant. The liquid is applied to the plant e.g. by brushing, coating with the liquid impregnated in cotton, cloth, sponge, etc., spraying, dipping, etc.
