A thread insert (3) is removed from a reactor component (1) with the help of a sparking tool that contains a spark electrode (7) and a control body (10) made of insulting material located at its end face. The control body (10) is inserted in the thread insert, after which two axial grooves are spark-machined in it. A screw tool of about the same shape as the sparking tool is then inserted in the grooves, after which the thread insert (3) can be screwed out.<IMAGE> |
