METHOD FOR APPLICATION AND DISCONNECTION OF POWER TO/FROM INFORMATION PROCESSOR

PURPOSE:To perform inexpensively unattended operation of an information processor by giving the function of power application and disconnection to/from the information processor to an exchange in the information processor connected to the exchange via a bus for information transfer. CONSTITUTION:The exchange 7 and the information processor 1 are communicated by the bus 9 for information transfer and the information is transferred between channel adoptors 12, 72. A line control adaptor 73 is provided to the exchange 7 in the processing system constituted in this way and a bus 21 for control is provided to a communication controller CCU3. The CCU3 transfers the information of power application/disconnection time of the processor 1 to the adaptor 73 via the bus 21. The exchange 7 detects the application/disconnection time based on this information and outputs its signal to a power supply 11 of the processor 1 via a power supply control section 71 and a cable 22. The power application/disconnection time information can be inputted from a remote terminal D or other processor CPU via a public exchange 10.
