PICTURE DATA RECORDING AND READING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization by forming a picture image information reading means freely attachably and detachably on a carriage carrying a recording head and an ink ribbon cassette so as to eliminate the need for separate driving mechanism for a recording section and a reading section. CONSTITUTION:A recording means is mounted on a carriage 3 connected to a control section 1 at the recording to a heat-sensing recording chart and a picture image data reading means is mounted at picture data reading and the carriage is carried along the heat-sensing recording chart and an original face. The movement of the carriage 3 is conducted by a carriage driving mechanism controlled by the control section 1. A thermal head 4 and an ink ribbon cassette are fitted on the carriage 3 at recording. The thermal head 4 and the ink ribbon cassette are removed from the carriage 3 at the picture data reading and a picture image data reading cassette and a connector are mounted thereupon.
