PURPOSE:To print out a picture on a television screen correctly by outputting a gradational density signal as print data to a printer when a vertical synchronizing signal coincides with a copy command signal. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing separating circuit 7 extracts horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals s1 and s2 from a composite video signal v1 from a television receiver to obtain a video signal v2, which is inputted to an A/D converter 1. The converter 1 uses pulse (p) of a clock pulse generating circuit 9 to sample the signal v2, and the gradational density signal d1. When a copy key 6 is turned on, a copy command is supplied through a CPU4, and a write command is outputted to a write control circuit 3 when the vertical synchronizing signal s2 coincides with the copy command signal c2. The control circuit 3 writes the gradational density signal in a video signal 2. When the writing is completed, the CPU4 reads the gradational density signal and outputs it as print data to a printer 5.
