PURPOSE:To provide a metal working oil compsn. contg. a lubricating oil component and a specified salt of an amine compd. and a nonionic surfactant, which is useful for metal working at high temp. and under high pressure or under severe conditions of cutting and has excellent circulation stability, etc. for easier process control. CONSTITUTION:The metal working oil compsn. contains as essential ingredients (A) a lubricating oil component selected from among oil, fat, mineral oil and fatty acid ester, (B) a compd. selected from among acidic phosphoate of 4-22C aliphatic, alicyclic or aromatic amine and quaternary ammonium salts of an acidic phosphate of a 4-22C aliphatic or aromatic amine and (C) a nonionic surfactant. The specified amine compd. and nonionic surfactant used in combination acts as protective colloid and (A) is dispersed in water under a stabilized condition in a large particle diameter and oil particles with a large diameter form a thick and strong lubricating film on metal workpieces. The large particle diameter is maintained consistently over a long period of use. Improved lubricating properties are obtained by use of the acidic phosphate. |
