In the case of a grip roller freewheel with an outer race provided with gripping ramps and a smooth cylindrical inner race, a number of gripping rollers are accommodated in a cage formed from webs and flange rings, which by means of projections positively engages in recesses of the outer race. At the same time the cage is fixed by means of the projections (7) arranged in the web area in the recesses (8) of the outer race (1) so that it cannot twist in either circumferential direction, the flange rings (6) connecting the webs (5) being formed by leaf spring-like sections, which press the projections (7) under pretension radially outwards into the recesses (8) and at the same time permit a slight reciprocal displacement of the webs (5) in a circumferential direction. <IMAGE>
