摘要 A weak current dynamo having a gear drive in a hub is very particularly suitable for reducing the risk posed by traffic to cyclists at dusk and in the dark, particularly in damp weather conditions, since failure due to environmental influences is impossible. The intermediate wheel which is continuously engaged increases the tractive resistance only so slightly that this is not noticeable with a normal cycle. Only the switched-on dynamo will, as the case may be, increase the tractive resistance, as in the case of the conventional dynamo. The structure and production of the weak-current dynamo are relatively simple, e.g. the hub can be produced using the deep-drawing process, the open side contains external or internal threads for a bearing plate, the gear rim and the intermediate wheel are produced from plastic (nylon, Macrolan or the like) using the extrusion process and brought to the required length, the armature (rotatable) and holder (fixed) for the coils and permanent magnets, respectively, are compression moulded from plastic in such a way that the coils or permanent magnets are only clamped. The intermediate wheel and the armature are mounted in maintenance-free Teflon bearings. The material qualitites of the gear wheels are selected such that the intermediate wheel (most inexpensive part) is the first and the gear wheel on the armature (most expensive part) the last to wear. The two wheel antifriction bearings are, as usual, lubricated with oil, i.e. this oil is distributed in the hub by the rotation, as experience shows, and thus the sliding...
