PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance and a lubricating property by constituting the surface part for rubbing the recording medium of a core supporting member of a carbonaceous composite material consisting of a carbonaceous porous body, a metal for filling the pores of the porous body, and a synthetic resin for closing the voids of the filling metal. CONSTITUTION:The carbonaceous material such as natural or artificial graphite is used as the carbonaceous composite material. Resinous or pitch coke binding material, etc. is used as the binding material for increasing mechanical strength. The sintered material made up of the carbonaceous material and the mechanical strength increasing material is a carbonaceous material, and provided with minute pores on the surface and inside. A metallic impregnant is used for filling said pores, increasing mechanical strength, and providing flatness to the surface. Tin and antimony are used separately or as the alloy thereof for the metallic impregnant. Minute pores may be formed on the surface and the inside of the metallic impregnant by cooling under certain circumstances. A synthetic resin is filled into said pores to inrease the mechanical strength. Phenolic resins, divinylbenzene resins, etc. are used as said synthetic resin. The carbonaceous material content in the composite material is regulated to about 50-95vol%. |
