PURPOSE:To increase the number of cutting edges and make the installation and removal of a tip as well as the observation of a bit easier by projectingly installing a swingable pin on a holder, inserting this pin in the center hole of a standard tip, and holding said tip on said holder, in a inclined cutting tool. CONSTITUTION:The holder 3 of an inclined cutting tool 11 is formed in a rectangular parallelopiped and the end face of this holder 3 is shown with dotted lines but, actually, the end face 13 is an inclined face as shown with solid lines. In order to fix a triangular standard tip 12 to the mounting seat 14 of the holder 3, simply the triangular tip 12 is placed on the mounting seat 14 in such a way that the pin 20 of the mounting seat 14 is inserted into the center hole 22 of the triangular tip 12, a bolt 21 is turned and the pin 20 is swung so that its tip is tilted toward the bolt 21, and the triangular tip 12 is brought in contact with both the inclined plane 19 of the mounting seat 14 and the top face 18 of a shim 17 under pressure. Accordingly, when the triangular tip 12 is fixed to the mounting seat 14, the angle of inclination alpha of a cutting edge 23 is automatically set at 60 deg., while the device is convenient from the view point of cutting resistance and vibration.
