PURPOSE:To measure simultaneously a ground speed and a wheel speed of a vehicle, and a slip ratio of a wheel by them, by one set of device, by superposing the images of a ground and a wheel by using a semi-transmitting prims, and forming an image on a photoelectric converting element. CONSTITUTION:Images of a ground 4 and a wheel 7 are superposed by a semitransmitting prism 6 inserted into an optical system of a vehicle, and an image is formed on a photoelectric converting element 1 of a matrix array. Subsequently, a processing based on a detecting output of the element 1 is executed by an arithmetic unit 5, and a ground speed and a wheel speed of a vehicle, and a slip ratio of a wheel following said speed can be measured simultaneously by using one set of device.
