PURPOSE:To ensure an exclusive use of a radio band as a call band, by securing a discrimination for the terminal of a traveling object public telephone about the area to which it belongs and then ensuring a charging process through the terminal itself. CONSTITUTION:The area No. sent from a base station 1 with the area discrimination frequency different with every area is stored in an area discrimination-based receiving circuit 23 via a traveling object public telephone 2 during a noncall time. Then the telephone 2 is hooked off to give an outgoint, and thus a telephone circuit 22 works to start a radio transmission/reception circuit 21 and then deliver an outgoing electric wave. Then a calling subscriber dials, and the selection signal is received at a selection signal discriminating circuit 24 to be sent to a charging exponent extracting circuit 25. The circuit 25 gives an inquiry to a charging count memory 26 along with the area No. stored previously in the circuit 23 and then extracts the charging exponent, i.e., the charging rate from the positions of both calling and called subscribers. A coin collecting circuit 27 is started according to the time of calling to collect the coins. At the same time, a charging integral memory 28 is started for a recording purpose and integrates the amount of collected coins. |
