Printed circuit board exposure apparatus

In an apparatus for exposing printed circuit boards to UV light having at least one copying frame which can be moved into and out of the beam path produced by at least one UV light source, the light source (or the light sources) is (or are) situated outside the normal to the plane of the copying frame in the exposure position and there are means for absorbing the heat radiated and/or the reflected UV radiation in the beam path of the light source(s). Viewed in the working position, the light source(s) is (are) situated behind the copying frame below and/or above the latter. To absorb the heat radiated from the light source, there is provided, in the beam path of the latter, a radiation-protection heat sink which has liquid flowing through it and is transparent to UV radiation and which is constructed as a cell or a plano-convex lens. In a further embodiment of the invention, the beam path contains a mirror which reflects the UV radiation and transmits the heat radiation, with the result that the latter is converted into heat behind the mirror and the heat can be removed.
