PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the pulley width of a pulley unit having a one-way clutch built in it without reducing the torque capacity of the one-way clutch. SOLUTION: The axial width of the inner and outer rings 10, 11 of a one-way clutch are set in accordance with the effective raceway track width of a roller 13 and both axial end portions of a retainer 12 protruding beyond the axial sides of the inner and outer rings 10, 11 of the one-way clutch 3 are inserted into the interior of roller bearings 4, 4 on both sides of the one-way clutch 3 as far as to the position close to a rolling element 22 group. Thus the pulley width can be set as narrow as possible upon securing the torque capacity of the one-way clutch 3. |
