Teat cups are linked to a receptacle which feeds via a choke into the vessel coupled to a vacuum. The teat cup vacuum can be raised during milking above a first level or lowered below a second level by a control block with mode indicator. Between the receptacle (7) and choke (8) the milk line (6) contains a hydropneumatic transducer (15) linked to a membrane comparator (32-35) control block (12) to convert milk line pressure to a pneumatic signal output. The output is fed to the block input (16). A first output signal (13) is formed when the pneumatic signal reaches a first preset level due to milk production rising to the first preset level, and a second control signal for reduction in pneumatic signal due to production falling below the second level. In series with the transducer and parallel to the choke linking the transducer to the vessel (9), when production falls below the first level, is a slave valve (17) to link the transducer to the vessel, when production rises above the first level. |
