The invention relates to electrolytes for the electrodeposition and reductive deposition of copper, silver, gold, cobalt, nickel, ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, osmium, iridium, platinum, tin and bismuth and of binary and ternary alloys of the metals mentioned in accordance with Patent Application 3148330.5, which are characterised in that the metals in the form of compounds having the general formula (Me)n(halogen)m(base)p, where Me, halogen, n, m, p have the meaning specified in Claim 1, are dissolved in an organic base, a base hydrohalide, an organic solvent and/or hydrohalide mixture.
