Prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs serving simultaneously as floors and heating surfaces for buildings

The invention relates to prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs having concrete-encased heating elements serving simultaneously as floors and as heating surfaces for ceilings or floors for buildings. The surfaces are smoothed in the factory in such a way that the installed slabs can be bonded to the finished floor (PVC, carpet or the like) without an additional topping finish. The heating elements can be the known mats from floor-warming cables, or plastic or metal piping carrying hot water. The hot water is heated up by means of oil or gas boilers, a heat pump or particularly cost-effective electric flow-type calorifiers. The size of the heating surfaces of floors favours a low-temperature heating operation, which saves energy and is also best suited to the use of heat pumps. The storage mass of the reinforced concrete covering slabs permits operation with storage heat and in the case of a heat pump plant renders the buffer store superfluous, and in the case of the use of a flow-type calorifier as heat generating apparatus, the expensive solid or water store otherwise required for an electric storage heating system. Control is performed using the known electric storage heating system charging controllers. Erection is rendered simpler, quicker and less expensive by the slabs according to the invention.
