D-amplifier, esp. for use in an output signal reproduction circuit with no phase delay

The D-amplifier has a reference signal amplifier circuit with a pulse width modulator (101) for converting a sound input signal into a digital waveform, an output stage (102) for signal division and level shifting to produce high and low digital drive signals and an error amplifier for comparing the D-amplifier output signal with a sound input signal for error correction. The reference signal amplifier circuit is directly coupled to the output stage to filter noise out of the high and low digital drive signals and to combine them into a single analogue reference signal with no phase delay and which is a precise reproduction of the D-amplifier output signal. An Independent claim is also included for a method of generating a reference signal.
