The parquet tiles are laid next to one another to form the parquet flooring. The parquet tile comprises a multiplicity of individual lamellae (3, 4). In order to hold these lamellae (3, 4) together for the purpose of handling the parquet tile, wires (5) are used which are clamped in indentations (6) of the lamellae (3, 4). The parquet tile has lamellae (3, 4), arranged at right angles with respect to one another, in order to form a mosaic flooring. The clamping wires (5) and indentations (6) of a parquet tile are parallel to one another and extend over the length of the parquet tile. This results in cost-effective manufacture since a long sheet can be continuously manufactured and individual parquet tiles can be cut therefrom. Small joints are to be present between the lamellae of the finished parquet tile so that it can be somewhat flexible, for easier laying, and so that its lamellae can expand to a certain extent with changing humidity. In order to form the joints between those lamellae (4) which are parallel to the clamping wires (5), the latter are provided with bent-off portions (7). <IMAGE>
