Apparatus 20 for extruding rods or tubes 100 having irregular sections, the tubes having either their internal or their external shape irregular, or both of them irregular. The apparatus includes provisions for assuring substantial absence of bow or twist in the extrusions, and includes an improved die arrangement 30 which assures long die life and in which the die is quickly removed and replaced. Methods of extruding rods and tubes of irregular section are also disclosed, the tubes having an irregular shaped exterior, interior or both. <IMAGE> |
