PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, high-output, and high-precision device by providing a rotating disk which has the 1st and the 2nd slits to the rotating shaft of a rotating body, and arranging a planar light source at the one opposite terminal on the surface of the rotating disk so that all slits are irradiated with light. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of the rotating disk which rotates together with the rotating shaft 1, the planar light source 11 which is fitted to a support member 10 and emits light to one terminal on the surface of the rotating disk 9, a planar photoelectric converting element 12 fitted to the support member 10. The planar light source 11 and planar photoelectric converting element 12 are fixed to the support member 10, and the rotating disk 9 has the 1st slit 13 formed over the entire outer circumference to radii r3-r4 and the 2nd slits 14 for a rotation detector at positions radii r1 and r2 where pulses are generated at specific rotational positions in every rotation of the rotating shaft 1 so as to constitute an entire-circumference facing type frequency generator together with an optical means. |
