PURPOSE:To eliminate the lowering of preservability and fixability due to the action of an alkaline substance during the preservation by having the undercoat layer of a thermosensitive recording layer containing a synthetic resin having a acid group in a bonding unit. CONSTITUTION:The undercoat layer laminated between a base paper and a thermosensitive recording layer contains a synthetic resin having an acid group in the bonding unit. In addition, the undercoat layer may be made up by adding a white substance pigment in order to enhance the whiteness of the base paper and it would be better that the white substance pigment is used once subjected to a preacidification to control the pH below 6. The thermosensitive recording layer contains a diazo component, a coupling component, a basic component and a binder. The undercoat layer can cut the action of an alkaline substance to eliminate the lowering of the preservability of the thermosensitive recording paper. Moreover, it will not act on components in the thermosensitive recording paper directly while functioning as acid substance and thus, there is no such evil effect as lowering the concentration and sensitivity after the color formation. |
