PURPOSE:To improve the adhesiveness between a recording layer and a vitreous substrate and the S/N ratio by providing a layer consisting of epoxy resin or a double layer consisting of an epoxy resin layer and another polymer layer between the vitreous substrate of an optical information recording medium and the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer consisting of an epoxy resin layer is provided to a vitreous substrate having about 1.0-1.5mm. thickness in an information recording medium having a recording layer capable of writing and/or reading informations on a transparent vitreous substrate by laser beams. The thickness of the film after drying is regulated to 0.01-100mu, or preferably to 0.1-2mu. The epoxy resin having 50-100,000mol.wt. is preferable. The recording layer can be provided directly to the epoxy resin layer thus provided, or a layer of a polymer, selected from thermoplastic resins such as polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, a polystyrene-vinyl toluene copolymer, a vinyl copolymer, can be provided when desired. |
