PURPOSE:To make such a car projection type display unit as being easy to see all the time attainable, by setting up a liquid crystal display unit as an indicator, while changing it from a positive indication to a negative one according to brightness around. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal display unit 4 indicates characters in the specified display pattern by a command out of a display control part 6. At this time, the liquid crystal display unit 4 operates with a positive indication in the day time but in time of dark at night, it operates with a negative indication with a lamp 6 lighted. Indication light shown by the liquid crystal display unit 3 is projected as a virtual image pattern 8 produced by turning over the indicated pattern with front glass 1, which is sighted by a driver. In addition, with an adjusting knob 7, an angle of inclination of a display screen on the liquid crystal display unit 4 is made variable while checking a position of the virtual image pattern 8 projected on the front glass 11 or its projection state. With this constitution, a projection type display for car easy to see all the time can be secured. |
