FIELD: production of solid oxygen sources and carbon dioxide absorbers. SUBSTANCE: calcium dioxide is prepared by reacting dry calcium hydroxide or its 50% aqueous suspension with 16- 35% aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide at hydrogen peroxide to calcium hydroxide of 1.2-2.0. Reaction product is dehydrated at 40-170 C with preliminary filtration, or at pressure of 0.1-10 mm Hg or by sublimation at pressure of 10<SP>-2</SP>- 10 mm Hg. EFFECT: higher purity and greater specific surface of the resulting hydrogen peroxide. 9 ex, 1 tbl
