PROCESS FOR EXTRACTIVE DISTILLATION OF HYDROCARBONS

Easily soluble hydrocarbons are separated from a hydrocarbon mixture in a two-stage extractive distillation unit composed of an extractive distillation column and stripping column using a polar solvent for extraction. The preliminary stripping column is equipped between the first stage extractive distillation column and the first stage stripping column. Easily soluble hydrocarbon vapor generated in the preliminary stripping column is transported directly to second extractive distillation column without passing through a compressor or pump.
