PURPOSE:To increase a shielding effect, to obtain easily a high density, and to simplify a working by forming directly a shielding layer on a magnetic core by using a thin film forming means, in a magnetic head formed by placing adjacently plural magnetic cores through the shielding layer. CONSTITUTION:Gaps 24, 25 are provided on magnetic head core chips 22, 23, and auxiliary cores 26, 27 for constituting a magnetic circuit are provided as one body. A shielding layer 29 provided in order to reduce a crosstalk between two magnetic circuits is obtained by forming directly in advance a non-magnetic material of a low electric resistivity, such as Cu, etc. on a magnetic head core chip 23 by a thin film forming means of spattering or vapor deposition, etc., and accordingly, an adhesive layer between them is eliminated, and in a state that a prescribed characteristic remains maintained, a distance between the magnetic head core chips 22 and 23 can be reduced. 30 denotes the adhesive layer.
