PURPOSE:To set up electrical and mechanical machining conditions in one lot as well as to improve operatability, by numbering a combination of machining conditions in some types, while specifying this number, in case of a wire electric- discharge machine. CONSTITUTION:At a machining condition setting panel 1, there is provided with a switch specifying a combination of machining conditions, while a signal being encoded into a binary digit in conformity with the set number is outputted and transmitted to a selector 11. On the other hand, at a numerical control system 2, during automation, a machining condition number is commanded and outputted after being encoded into a binary digit and then transmitted to the selector 11. At the selector 11, there is provided with a remote-local selector switch, and in time of the remote being selected, a signal out of the NC system 2 is selected out to the output side but when the local is selected, it selects a signal of the panel 1. A converter 12 converts an assortment of the inputted machining conditions by way of a decoder read-only memory and outpts it to a machining power source 4, a machine body 5 and the NC system 2 in regular sequence.
