In a housing which can be screened by means of a cover which can be screwed on, the bearing surfaces (3 or 16 respectively) either of the housing (1) or of the cover (12) consist of in each case two planar sub-surfaces (4, 5 or 14, 15 respectively), which are offset with respect to one another in a stepped manner, while the bearing surfaces (10 or 13 respectively) of the respective other part (2 or 11 respectively) are constructed flat. As a result of the elastic deforming of the cover, this results in a circumferential contact even in the regions between the attachment screws (7) of the cover.
