PURPOSE:To reduce the adhesive force between a lubricating agent and the surface of a magnetic disk, and to carry out smoothly the CSS operation by roughing a slider surface of a magnetic recording medium of a magnetic head, and forming the recess of the rough surface by filling fluoroplastic. CONSTITUTION:A slider surface 5 is roughed by previous etching, etc., and a fluorine resin layer, or a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) layer 6, having a low friction coefficient and a water and oil repelling property, is coated on the surface thereof. Then the polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) layer 6 is lapped until the base material ferrite is exposed, and the PTFE layer 6 is left only on the recessed rough surface of the slider surface 5. Accordingly the PTFE layer 6 is partially exposed on the slider surface 5. Since the slider surface 5 of a magnetic head is thus treated with the PTFE, the PTFE layer 6 is coated on the slider surface with good adhesiveness, and the adhesive force between the lubricating agent and the surface of the magnetic disk is also reduced. In this way, the adsorption phenomenon of the magnetic head by the surface of the magnetic disk as before can be eliminated.
