Automatic turret lathe with a tool turret which is arranged on a compound-slide system and is equipped with a work holder for removing a finish-machined workpiece from the main spindle of the automatic lathe. To design the work holder to be as simple as possible and to be able to actuate it as simply as possible, it is held on the tool turret in a displaceable manner, can be moved against a workpiece channel, serving as a stop, by displacing the tool turret, and is connected via a transmission mechanism to an ejector which, when the work holder is displaced, pushes the finish-machined workpiece out of the work holder into the workpiece channel.
