PURPOSE:To make it possible to continuously and smoothly perform the supply of ink to a recording means, by providing a liquid contact surface formed by adsorbing or penetrating one or more of a metal chelate compound and a chelate compound of metal oxide to an ink supply system. CONSTITUTION:A metal chelate compound and a chelate compound of metal oxide are adsorbed or penetrated to form a liquid contact surface which is, in turn, provided to an ink supply means for supplying ink to a recording means and the liquid contact surface with ink of a member insufficient in wetability with ink among the constitutional members of the ink supply system is treated with a solution for imparting compatibility with ink to enhance the ink to enhance the ink compatibility. As thus constitutional member of the ink supply system, a high-molecular material such as polyethylene, polypropylene, an ABS resin or an AS resin is designated. |
