The invention is used in gastronomy as well as all private domains where draft beer is tapped. The compact design results in rapid and secure assembly between tapping spear and carbon-dioxide connection. At the same time, the leaktightness of the lip in the cask can be checked by a certain handle position of the shut-off tap. Another position effects a wall-distribution check of the carbon-dioxide supply. The 2-mm checking bore in the shut-off tap is of prime importance. The "universal" nonreturn lip valve is designed so that, by avoiding hollow spaces, no deposits due to residual beer can occur. Consequently, bacteria accumulation is prevented. The fitting is clean and hygienic in its design, owing to the avoidance of hollow spaces. It can be checked without disruption during operation.
