The holder for earrings developed by me has the purpose of making it possible to wear even fairly heavy earrings without problems and without the pain which may be associated therewith. The holder is a spring steel wire ending in a ball at the top. The ball is hung in the external ear, that is, on the upper edge of the ear lobe. Retention in the external ear is guaranteed by the thin spring steel which presses against the back of the ear lobe and thus prevents slipping-out. Thus, the weight of the earring no longer hangs from the ear lobe but in the external ear. The earring holder is about 2.7 to 3.2 cm long and the spring steel wire is about 0.05 mm thick. In principle, this ensures freedom from pain when wearing earrings. In addition, this novel type of earring holder has an aesthetic effect as well as a practical one, which was not provided by the "pierced ear lobe provided".
