In the case of a device for subsequently fitting a measurement connecting stub on a cable on which compressed air acts, having a baseplate which can be fixed on the cable surface (possibly via a shrink sleeve) and has a connecting stub for a manometer, and has a valve within the connecting stub, it is intended to create a solution by means of which, on the one hand, the subsequent fitting of a measurement connecting stub is simplified, the fitting being selected such that the measurement connecting stub can remain where it was fitted all the time, the amount of air released when the measurement connecting stub is fitted and used continuing to be negligibly small. This is achieved in that it is equipped with a penetration channel (10) in order to penetrate the outer cable sheath (3), and in that the penetration channel (10) is guided in the connecting stub (5) such that it is sealed with respect to compressed air. <IMAGE>
