PURPOSE:To lessen the speed change shock, by providing a low clutch pressure- reducing valve for reducing the hydraulic pressure directed to a low clutch in a state wherein the third speed is selected. CONSTITUTION:A low clutch pressure-reducing valve 801 for reducing the hydraulic pressure directed to a low clutch C3 in a state wherein the third speed is selected is provided to a low clutch working pressure oil line connected to a low clutch C3. Thus, if, in a state wherein the third speed is selected, the input torque ratio of the low clutch C3 is made low, its clutch capacity can be made to have a required clutch capacity corresponding to the input torque by the involved speed change stage. As a result, the speed change shock that will result in when the low clutch C3 that is not in operation is to be changed to be operated, that is, the four speed is changed to a third speed can be positively lessened.
