A conventional central heating system is completed by a branch or bypass pipe 20 mounted in parallel at the terminals of each radiator 5 and by a flow regulator 9 which adjusts to a constant value the total flow of water running through each radiator 5 and its branch pipe 20. In its operation, this installation remains balanced even with hot water running through only some of the radiators 5 of the system, the other radiators 5 being closed or slightly open. This balancing avoids any overheating and allows for energy saving. <IMAGE>
