<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled ink free from the highlight-staining tendency even after a long-term continuous printing, and resistant to the lowering of the driability and gloss, etc., by adding a specific amount of a cellulose derivative which dissolves in or swells with the varnish for offset printing ink. CONSTITUTION:The objective ink is prepared by adding 0.01-30wt%, based on the ink, of a cellulose derivative [preferably a cellulose derivative having the constant A defined by the formula (Y<1> is viscosity of varnish free of the cellulose derivative; Y<2> is viscosity of varnish containing 1wt% of the cellulose derivative) of >=0.1, e.g. quaternary ammonium salt of cellulose] which is soluble in or swellable with the varnish for offset printing ink (containing phenolic resin or resin-modified phenolic resin as the resin component and a paraffinic solvent having a boiling point of >=180 deg.C as the solvent).</p> |
