摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve suctin air filling efficiency by a method wherein a surge tank, interposed in a suction path, is divided into two expanding chamber and respective chambers are provided with functions to generate an interference effect between cylinders and a suction air inherent pulsation effect, in the suction device having suction paths for low load and high load respectively. CONSTITUTION:Upon high speed revolution of the engine, the suction paths 9, 10 for low and high loads are opened by the opening of secondary valve 12 and compression wave, generated upon the opening of the suction port 14 for high load caused by the opening of the suction valve for high load of one cylinder 1B for example, is propagated to the suction port 14 of the first cylinder 1A terminating suction stroke through the suction path 10b, the second expanding chamber 19 and the suction path 10a. Accordingly, the first cyliner 1A is supercharged by said compression wave upon opening of the high load suction port 14. Simultaneously, the compression wave, generated upon the opening of the suction port 13 caused by the low load suction valve upon the termination of suction stroke of the second cylinder 1B, is propagated to the suction port 13 of the first cylinder 1A terminating the suction stroke thereof through the suction path 9b, the first expanding chamber 18 and the suction path 9a, thus, the supercharging of the first cylinder may be effected.</p>
