<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a display element which permits a reduction in the film thickness of a non-oriented transparent layer and has a uniform electric characteristic free from distortion, etc. by forming transparent ink which forms a non- oriented layer by a transfer printing method on the oriented film formed on the electrodes of a liquid crystal display element. CONSTITUTION:Transparent ink 4 which forms a non-orienting region, more preferably ink for which the org. high polymer of the same system as the system of the org. high polymer (polyimide, etc.) used for forming the oriented film 3 on transparent electrodes 2 provided on a substrate 1 of a liquid crystal display element is printed by an ink transfer method on the oriented film to form extremely thinly an ink layer 4. For example, the ink is filled in the recess of a glass plate 14 as shown in the figure and a pad 15 is descended to transfer the ink onto the pad 15, then the transferred ink is retransferred onto a substrate 16 (substrate 3 in the accompanying figure). The ink layer 4 having good uniformity and adhesion is thus extremely thinly formed and the excellent display element is obtd.</p> |
