PURPOSE:To enable the repeated use of a ribbon while preventing noise generation, by a method wherein a transfer layer based on a leuco dye is formed to a formed to a ribbon while a receiving layer based on a coupler is formed to paper and the ribbon is contacted with the paper prior to applying heat and pressure. CONSTITUTION:A transfer layer based on a leuco dye is formed to a ribbon and a reciving layer based on a leuco dye is formed to paper. When the ribbon is contacted with paper to contact the transfer layer and the receiving layer and both of heat and pressure are applied, a small amount of the dye component in the ribbon transfer layer is transferred to the receiving layer. The porous filler contained in the receiving layer has function for rapidly transfer the dye component of the transfer layer to the receiving layer while the leuco dye and the coupler generate color forming reaction on the porous filler of the receiving layer to perform desired printing to the paper. As the porous filler one having specific oil absorption of pref., 150ml/100g or more is used. A type wheel 10 has such a mechanism that a plurality of spokes 14 are extended from a boss part 12 at the center where a rotary shaft is attached and characters 16 are respectively provided to the leading ends of the spokes 14 while the ribbon 22 is pressed to the paper 24 on a platen 18 by a press mechanism 20 to successively perform printing. |
