PURPOSE:To provide a medium for heat pumps, composed of 2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropanol or its mixtute with water, and having high heating capacity, high thermal stability and low corrosiveness. CONSTITUTION:The objective heat medium for a compression heat pump useful especially to generate a high temperature of 100-200 deg.C utilizing a heat source of 50-100 deg.C, is composed of preferably (A) 100-90wt% of 2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropanol and (B) 0-10wt% of water. |
