A casing (2) of special geometrical form is used, together with a pin (6) which fits into it. The pin is movable against the resistance of an elastic cord (5) in a restricted sector in a movement plane determined by the shape of the casing and pin. Pin movement occurs when the patient actively bends the wrist inwards, so that the pin slides against an arc-shaped plane (4) in the casing. The radius of the plane has its centre (3) in the plane of movement of the wrist. |
