PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording paper capable of forming a color with extremely excellent heat responsivity, by using a specified substance as a color developer for a color forming dye. CONSTITUTION:4-Methyl-4'-hydroxydiphenylsulfone is used as a color developer for a colorless or light-colored color forming dye capable of forming a color in the presence of an acidic substance, and an appropriate amount of dibenzyl terephthalate and/or dibenzyl isophthalate is used as a sensitizer. In this case, a color can be developed to a density approximate to the saturated color density of the dye at a low temperature. A thermal recording paper produced by jointly using dibenzyl terephthalate and 4-methyl-4'-hydroxydiphenylsulfone shows remarkable color forming performance in a temperature range of 75-100 deg.C, particularly, 80-95 deg.C. |
