This apparatus allows an inclined slot to be carved automatically on a bead. The inclined slot enlarges the refractive index of the reflected rays at the bead surface. The inclined slot is carved in the up-and-down motion of a large-size plane(3) and with the intermittent motion of the bead(22), which contacts or separates from an ordinary rotational cutter(14).
