<p>A portable material spreading device can be quickly installed or removed from a construction dump box. Material to be spread is deposited ahead of the left rear wheels of the vehicle in which the spreader is mounted. The device includes a tray-like body having a central, elongated housing enclosing drive means for circulating a plurality of cleats around the housing in a trough. The cleats carry material to an aperture in the floor of the dump box where it drops onto a rotating spinner.</p> |
